We all know that there is greater satisfaction when we use home remedies. We know what we are applying to our bodies and of course we can save money.
1. Milk bath for soft skin
Cleopatra knew this trick: put one liter of whole milk (3.5% fat) in the bath water. Milk sugar, minerals, and vitamins regenerate the cells and bind moisture into the skin. Afterwards, your skin will be silky soft and tender!
2. Apple cider vinegar to combat grey hair
Did your first grey hair show up? Don't worry, that can be delayed with a vinegar rinse. Apple cider vinegar is best suited for this purpose. Mix some vinegar with warm water and use to rinse your hair after each wash.
3. Lemon against rough elbows
In winter, our elbows are rough and brittle? Our tip: rub your elbows with half a lemon once a week. Since the fruit acid peels off dead skin, the treatment works like a natural exfoliant. After five minutes, wash off the leftovers and moisturize well.
4. Protein for firm skin
This tip helps smooth and tighten the skin: A homemade mask made of egg whites. Beat pure egg whites with a whisk or hand-held mixer and apply to your face with a brush. After 20 minutes, rinse with warm water and pat dry.
5. Honey for soft lips
Do you already know this beauty tip? Honey helps against dry and cracked lips: Apply a small amount and let it work for ten minutes. Its nourishing and antibacterial ingredients make the lips soft and supple.
6. Sage tea against foot odor
Who would have thought it, but sage tea can help against foot odor. This regulates the pH of the skin and protects against bacteria. Make one tea from one liter of water and two tablespoons of sage. Bathe your feet for ten minutes in the slightly cooled mixture then pat dry with a soft towel.
7. Cucumbers enliven the face
Cucumbers invigorate the face because they contain high levels of moisture and vitamins A and C. In addition, cucumbers have enzymes that promote skin renewal. In a blender puree a piece of cucumber with a tablespoon of cottage cheese, then apply and let soak for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
8. Tomato fights blackheads
Red miracle fruit! Tomato not only tastes good with lettuce, it also helps against blemishes. Slice a tomato and rub the areas where blackheads are forming. Then wash face with water and apply moisturizer.
9. Almond nourishes richly
For a rich skin care: A homemade almond peel helps! Mix 2 tbsp. natural yogurt with 2 tbsp grated almonds and 1 tsp honey. Apply generously to the face and massage in for a few minutes, then rinse with warm water. The lactic acid in yogurt deeply cleanses and removes dead skin cells. The oily nut flour provides the moisturizing effect. Honey promotes the renewal of the skin.
10. Water for the beauty ( The most obvious of home remedies)
Not really a home remedy - more of a general health tip. Have a nice drink! Water is an indispensable building block for healthy skin cells. This moisture works from the inside making the skin appear rosy and elastic. That's why most creams and lotions are mostly water. Sufficient fluid supplies the moisture deposits to the deeper layers of the skin from the inside. If they lack water, the elasticity is lost and wrinkles can develop. This is why it is important, for the beauty, to drink enough.
We hope that there are a few home remedies here that you didn't already know about. Perhaps you know some that we don't - maybe even passed down to you from generations ago. Let us know!
